My original thought behind this was “Could I use all of the advice in that article (http://bit.ly/bkgaz6) to gain followers? Could I get as many followers as I have now on my main account? How quickly could I do it? Could I do it in a month?”

In actual fact I surpassed my account in 8 days, and in about 26 tweets, and I followed almost none of the rules, except for the ‘following people who’ll follow back’ one. But that’s enough, I don’t need to be interesting, or interact or do anything except follow people and wait for them to follow back.

But that’s not all that’s happening, of the 400 followers I gained over the long weekend, about 150 of them were people who followed me first. Somewhere, I am being added to lists of people who’ll follow back, I don’t need to do anything at all and still I gain followers.

I have yet to tweet links to see if anyone is actually reading the tweets, I will do that on Wednesday I think, if you have a page with a statcounter and you don’t mind sharing numbers then let me know.

Some people have asked when I will stop this, some curious, some bored with the tweets I make about it. I will stop when people stop following the account, or I will stop when I reach a follower count that I have selected, a number that I can never imagine reaching.
