A quick update on the Twitter account I set up (Details http://bit.ly/92XuH8) I didn’t do anything with it over the weekend because frankly the thoughts of trawling through for stories didn’t appeal. So I didn’t post anything at all since Friday when I had 148 followers.
This morning I have 230 followers,which is not a bad return but I decided to prune back on all those not following back. I used http://tweepi.com/ to delete all those not following the account. Tweepi’s free version allows, after you tweet about them, you to unfollow 40 at a time, so it took about 10 minutes to unfollow 628 people not following me. (Or the “deadbeat users” as Tweepi calls them).
So now I was followed by 230, and following 229, time to add some fresh chum to the Twitter waters, using http://tweepml.org/ (You get used to stupid names starting with “Tw” in a hurry) I followed more people guaranteed to follow back.I’m now following 446 and since I started writing this I have gained 5 followers in 3 minutes.
I have now received 111 DMs from people thanking me for the follows, many of whom want me to follow back on Facebook too.I have yet to read an interesting tweet, although the twitterstream is quite fast and I could be missing the gold floating past.Time management seems to be a big deal to a lot of these Twitter accounts from what I can gather.
If however, you want to learn “how to fire your boss in the next 90 days” or the details of the free report that is mentioned in this tweet “Next time you see a women[sic] whom [sic]wants to be rich give her this free report and she will keep you forever” then I’m your go-to guy.
