It’s been a good while since I’ve blogged about the appeal, and there has been very little written on the @twjoketrialfund account too. This is because, although there is a lot of movement behind the scenes to do with various aspects of the appeal, fundraising etc, there is nothing going on that is tweetable, not yet.
That will change over the coming weeks and until then I have had an idea for a simple method to raise the profile of the campaign.
The idea is this, people video themselves saying “I am Spartacus” and send them to me. I will join them all together and upload it to Youtube/Vimeo, anywhere that videos get uploaded to. If you want to have your twitter name written underneath you then that is cool, but I want it simple.
I need a lot of these to make it a decent length, but I will use whatever I get and if it is a 3 second video of 7 people then so be it, but I think this could look great if a decent number of people get behind it.
I don’t mind if people want to hide their faces, if people want to have their kids or pets saying it then that’s fine too. Any videos that say anything other than “I am Spartacus” will probably not be used, any videos with nudity will probably not be used. If you want to get creative then do it, if you don’t want to do it then RT this if you think some of your followers might.
Send the videos to Twitterjoketrialfund(at)gmail(dot)com, include your Twitter name in the body of the email and put “I am Spartacus” in the subject line.
